One Session, One Seed is a 30-day challenge with two moves a day: sit down for your sweepstakes entering session, then send one thing that scares you a little. A pitch, an ask, an application, a listing. The entering is the warm-up. The seed is the point. Thirty completed days is the win, and anything you happen to win along the way is a bonus. There’s a free printable tracker below so the whole month lives on one page.
I built this challenge out of my own mornings. My entries happen over tea, before the work that needs me sharp, and they boot my brain up better than anything else I’ve tried. What the challenge adds is the second move, the one I need the structure for. Sending one real thing a day is where the month actually happens.
How does the 30-day challenge work?
Two moves, every day, then you mark the tracker:
- Move 1: your entering session. Sit down and enter sweepstakes for whatever block of time your day allows. This is a volume game, so give it a real session rather than a single entry. An hour is a great session. Ten focused minutes still counts. When the session’s done, color the circle.
- Move 2: send one seed. One thing, out of your hands and into the world, that scares you a little. Write what it was on the line. This is the only column anyone will care about on day 30, including you.
Miss a day? Plant the next one. The tracker has no rule that resets you to zero, because the point is thirty planted days, not thirty perfect ones in a row.
Print it, stick it where the tea happens, and start with today as day 1.

Why a session instead of one entry?
Because entering works on volume. My logged numbers say it plainly: one win for roughly every 300 entries. One entry a day is a lovely gesture toward the universe, but thirty entries in a month is statistically a rounding error. A daily session, sized to whatever time you’ve got, is how the entry side becomes real instead of ceremonial.
The session also earns its keep another way. It’s the warm-up. Low stakes, mindless in the best sense, click, autofill, next. By the end of it you’re awake, you’ve finished something, and the harder move of the day, the seed, gets a brain that’s already running. If you want the mechanics of running an efficient session, how to win sweepstakes covers my whole setup.
What counts as a seed?
Anything you send that has a maybe attached and costs you a little nerve:
- A pitch to someone who doesn’t know you yet
- An application for the thing you keep circling
- An ask you’ve been rehearsing instead of sending
- A listing for something you made or want to sell
- The post, the video, the sample chapter, out where it can be seen
The test is the flinch. If sending it makes you hesitate for a second, it’s a seed. If it’s routine, it’s just a task, and it doesn’t go on the line.
I’ll tell you mine, since I’m not designing this from a mountaintop. Right now my seeds are about getting my own products out in front of people, and I struggle with the confidence for it more than I’d like to admit. Every listing shared and every piece of my own work I put in front of someone is a big deal for me. That’s exactly why it goes in the right-hand column. The wish you never say out loud stays comfortable, and so does the product you never show anyone. I wrote about that pull in do people actually win sweepstakes: the pitch you almost send. This challenge exists to close the gap between almost and sent.
What if you win nothing in 30 days?
You should plan on it. My logged win rate is about a third of a percent, so thirty days of sessions will most likely return zero prizes, and the challenge is built so that doesn’t matter. The circles measure showing up. The lines measure courage. Neither one needs a prize to fill in.
The seeds run on different odds anyway. A pitch gets read by one person who can say yes, not drawn from a barrel of thousands. Thirty of them in a month is a genuinely large bet on yourself, and unlike the sweepstakes side, nobody else’s luck is in the pool with yours.
Thirty completed days is the win. Read the right-hand column out loud on day 30. That list, thirty real things sent into the world in one month, is the prize the tracker was always about, and every one of them is still out there working.

Today’s action
Download the tracker, print it, and do day 1 before you decide whether you’re “doing the challenge.” One session, one seed, one colored circle.
Tomorrow is just day 1 again if you need it to be. The month starts whenever you do.
Frequently asked questions
What is the One Session, One Seed challenge?
A 30-day challenge with two daily moves: a sweepstakes entering session sized to whatever time you have, and one sent seed, meaning a pitch, ask, application, or listing that scares you a little. You track both on a one-page printable. Thirty completed days is the win, not winning a prize.
How long should the entering session be?
Whatever your day genuinely allows, done as one sitting. An hour is a strong session. Ten minutes on a slammed day still counts and keeps the streak alive. The session exists to give the entry side real volume and to warm your brain up for the seed, so consistency matters more than length.
What if I miss a day?
Plant the next one. The challenge has no reset rule, because the goal is thirty planted days, not an unbroken chain. A missed day costs you one row on the page. Quitting over a missed day costs you the other twenty-something, and that math never favors quitting.
Do I have to enter sweepstakes to do this?
No. The seed column works on its own, and it’s the half that changes things. Swap the entering session for any low-stakes warm-up you enjoy. I use sweepstakes because entering is fun for me and the maybe keeps me showing up, but the challenge’s engine is the daily sent seed.
What are the odds I actually win something during the month?
Low, and I’d rather you know it going in. My own logged rate is about one win per 300 entries, so a month of sessions usually returns nothing. Treat any win as a bonus. The tracker’s real return is the right-hand column: thirty things sent that were sitting in drafts before.
Is the tracker free?
Yes. It’s a one-page PDF, no email required, linked right in this post. Print it, put it where your morning happens, and start with day 1 today.
The short version
One Session, One Seed is a 30-day challenge: a daily sweepstakes entering session for warm-up and volume, plus one brave seed sent every day, tracked on a free one-page printable. Expect zero prizes at roughly 0.3 percent odds, and expect thirty sent seeds, which is the part that changes a month. Completed days are the win.
Every entry is a seed with somebody else’s barrel attached. The right-hand column is the garden that’s entirely yours. Print the page, pour the tea, and plant day 1.
